For most travelers that is the better fit. Hawaii's restaurants, beaches, hiking trails, and cultural sites are the reason you came — not the resort pool. A good package handles the logistics (flights, hotel, car, activity reservations) so you can spend your week exploring instead of cross-referencing five separate booking confirmations.

Does Hawaii Have All Inclusive Resorts?
This is the most common question we get about Hawaii vacation packages — and the short answer is: not in the traditional sense. Hawaii does not have Caribbean-style all-inclusive resorts where a single nightly rate covers meals, drinks, activities, and entertainment at a single property.
There is a reason for that. Caribbean and Mexican all-inclusive resorts exist partly because travelers in those destinations prefer to stay on-property for safety or convenience. Hawaii is the opposite. The islands are exceptionally safe, the food scene is world-class, and the best experiences — hiking volcanic craters, snorkeling with sea turtles, driving the Road to Hana — happen off-property. Locking yourself inside a resort would mean missing the entire point of visiting Hawaii.
What Hawaii does have are vacation package providers like Aloha Hawaiian that bundle flights, hotels, rental cars, and activities into a single package price. You get the budgeting convenience of all-inclusive without the resort-jail experience. And you get to actually explore the islands.
The One Exception: Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
If you really want the all-inclusive feel inside a single property, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina on Oahu is the closest Hawaii gets. It is not technically all-inclusive in the Caribbean sense — meals, alcohol, spa treatments, and some premium recreation are billed separately — but the room rate covers an unusual amount for a U.S. resort:
- Waikolohe Valley water park (lazy river, two waterslides, pools, and splash areas)
- Aunty's Beach House kids' club for ages 4–12 (most activities are complimentary for resort guests)
- Disney character experiences and 'Ohana fun zones
- Cultural activities: lei-making, ukulele lessons, hula, Hawaiian language classes
- Complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and sand toys at Ko Olina Lagoon
- Daily hotel-led activities and a pool deck schedule that runs sunup to sundown
Aulani makes the most sense for families with kids 4–12 who would otherwise stack the cost of a resort kids' club, beach gear, and cultural classes on top of room rates booked à la carte. Tips for Booking Hawaii Vacation Packages

Check what is NOT included. Airport parking at your departure city, travel insurance, meals, and inter-island baggage fees are common exclusions.
