Ulua Beach
South Maui Beaches
Another must-see beach in South Maui is Ulua Beach. This stunning beach welcomes all with its soft powdery brown sand and clear waters.
When the surf is up at Ulua beach the bodyboarders come out to play. When calmer the snorkeling will bring you corals and fish you will remember always.
Divers have also described this area to be top-rated in terms of easy accessibility, and the abundance of micro-life, and even curious eels swimming in for a visit
This area is popular for dive instructors, and students are plentiful with good reason for this activity’s popularity. It’s a particularly great location for beginning snorkelers with low levels of experience or not-so-strong swimmers who want to experience one of Hawaii’s most pursued activities.
No one misses out on the opportunity to see Maui marine life.
This location has the benefit of being able to walk to other beaches, and if staying at the resort attached, it will naturally become a part of your every day.
Where: Located on Ulua Beach Road, Wailea.
Accessibility: Parking is available but be quick, it fills up quickly.
Did You Know? Ulua is the name of a Hawaiian game fish
Top Tip: If you plan on spending the day in the area or taking snorkeling lessons, get to the parking lots by 9.00 am
