2022 Events and Festivities

Rumba Tropical-DJ and Dancing

Despite a reputation for being the relaxed, luxurious island of the bunch, Maui still has nightlife. This holiday season, that nightlife is only going to be ramping up. No example is better than Rumba Tropical at Down the Hatch in Lahaina. This Latin dancing event welcomes beginners and has no cover.

When: December 8th, December 22nd, 9:30 PM - Midnight
Where: 658 Front St #102, Lahaina (Down the Hatch Maui)
More Info: Down the Hatch Maui

Christmas Keiki Run and Santa’s ½ Mile Keiki Dash

This holiday-themed run will raise money for the Maui Food Bank and features a special half-mile dash for kids. Whether kid or adult, walking or running, you can participate in this fun, light-hearted event for a good cause and ring in the holiday spirit with the rest of the island.

When: Sunday, December 18th, 7:30 AM - 10 AM
Where: 401 Alakapa Pl, Paia (Kaunoa Senior Center - Paia)

Silent Disco

The nightlife at Down the Hatch continues between Rumba Tropical and the always-worthwhile Silent Disco. It costs just $5 to rent headphones, and the event features multiple DJs, meaning you can choose which channel you prefer to dance to. The dancefloor is outdoor - and did we mention it's located on Maui?

When: Thursday, December 15th, 10 PM - 11:55 PM
Where: 658 Front St #102, Lahaina (Down the Hatch Maui)

Lunch Tour at O’o Farm

O'o Farm is an 8.5-acre plot of land located on the slopes of Haleakala. The lunch tours at O’o Farm are one of the best ways to interact with Maui's incredibly rich agricultural world this holiday season. Enjoy scenic views and a gourmet meal prepared from ingredients that surround you.

When: All December, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Where: 651 Waipoli Rd, Kula (O'o Farm)
More Info: O’o Farm Lunch Tour

Talk Story, Sew, and Feast

As for connecting with the local community during your December visit, Talk Story, Sew, and Feast is just an opportunity. Join The Sewing Hui to sew, enjoy lunch together, and - most importantly - talk. The express goal of the organization is to create more of a bridge between Maui residents and visitors.

When: December 1st, 8th, 15th; 9 AM - 1 PM or 12 PM - 4 PM
Where: 3660 Baldwin Ave, Makawao (Jennifer Oberg Atelier)
