Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort
Sensei Lanai is the upland sister property to the oceanfront Four Seasons Resort Lanai — not a beach resort. It sits on the old Koele estate at about 1,600 feet of elevation, surrounded by Cook pines and paniolo ranch land, roughly a 25-minute shuttle ride from the coast.
Every stay starts with a personal wellness guide who designs a custom itinerary based on an initial assessment — private yoga, meditation, spa treatments, guided hikes, and fitness sessions. The Hawanawana-style spa is the anchor: Forbes Five-Star, with thermal circuit, cold plunge, and treatment rooms built around the Sensei method. Adults-only policy, two-night minimum, and the property is quiet on purpose.
Ocean access and beach amenities are at the Manele Bay sister resort — Sensei guests can use those facilities, but the Koele property itself is upland, cool, and focused on wellness rather than swimming or snorkeling.
