2022 Events and Festivities

Kihei 4th Friday

These are essentially town parties. Kihei Fridays are absolutely full of food, music, and fun stuff to do for all ages.

Note, however, that this event is still somewhat up in the air. Maui County announced back in April that Friday Town Parties were temporarily going on hold. We recommended that you contact Maui County OED to stay updated.

Chelsea Handler

One of her generation's most successful comedians and TV personalities, Chelsea Handler is set to perform on July 3rd at the one-of-a-kind Castle Theater in Kahului. As the name rather strongly implies, Handler’s Vaccinated & Horny Tour is definitely for mature audiences only.

Obon Dance & Festival

At several locations on several different dates, the island of Maui will be reigniting its traditional Obon Dance Festival after a hiatus of 2 years. This event is as beautiful as it is culturally instructive.

When: July 9th, July 15th, July 16th, July 22nd, July 23rd

Maui Open Studios 2022 - Summer Edition

To witness some of Maui’s finest local art, simply wander outside the hotel on the weekend of July 9th and 10th. Studios and exhibition spaces all over the island will be open to visitors. Pottery, painting, glass, silk…and don’t forget food and maybe even live entertainment to go with it.

Corinne Bayley Rae

Corinne Bayley Rae is a Grammy-winning artist from the UK, and she will be appearing at one of the coolest live music venues in the world, Maui’s Castle Theater. In addition to hosting world-famous TV personalities like Chelsea Handler, the Castle Theater will also host a world-class musical talent this July. This is a must-see for lovers of live contemporary music during your visit to the Valley Isle.
