2023 Events and Festivities

Concert In The Sky Fireworks

One of the celebrations happening all over the 50th US State is Independence Day. If you’re in Kauai on July 4th, you’ll want to catch a fireworks show. Most agree none is better than the Concert In The Sky. Held at Vidinha Stadium in Lihue, it’s a great location and a fireworks display that is raved about.

When: Tuesday, July 4th,
Where: Hoolako St, Lihue (Vidinha Stadium)

14th Annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge

For fans of physical exertion in a scenic setting, July is also when the Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge comes to Kauai. The World Open Water Swimming Association ranks this among the top 100 American Open Water Swims. If you’re a serious swimmer, July 29th is your chance to discover why!

When: Saturday, July 29th, 7 AM - 11 AM
Where: Hanalei Bay Pier

Last Saturday Night Market

Welcome to the newest market on the Garden Island! Anahola Marketplace hosts a unique market that only comes once a month and takes place at night, unlike almost every other local market. In addition to the many goods on offer, the night energy ramps up the presence of bonuses like live music, wine and beer, and dancing - so much so that the new market has been described as a hybrid between night market and concert.

When: Saturday, July 29th, 4 PM - 9 PM
Where: Kuhio Highway at Milemaker 12.5 North of Kapaa Anahola
More Info: Anahola Marketplace on the Homestead

Koloa Plantation Days

Old Koloa Town is one of the coolest spots on the island - more than worth visiting even when it isn’t in the middle of one of its biggest yearly traditions! July marks the return of Koloa Plantation Days, a series of over 20 events, including the now-37th Annual Parade. Exploring this quaint historic town is a wonderful chance to enjoy good food, amazing presentations and performances, and a friendly, celebratory atmosphere.

When: July 21st - July 30th
Where: Old Koloa Town
More Info: Koloa Plantation Days

Wailua Bay Creators Fair

The Wailua Bay Creators Fair returns this July. Always a chance to score one-of-a-kind goods, the fair is also an excellent way to support the local creative community here in Kauai. After all, post-Covid and the many setbacks it imposed on local business honors, such was the impetus for the fair’s creation in the first place.

When: Sunday, July 23rd, 8:30 AM - 1 PM
Where: 3-5920 Kuhio Hwy, Kapaa (Hilton Garden Inn Wailua Bay)
More Info: Wailua Bay Creators Fair

We hope you find this to be a helpful guide to planning your calendar for Kauai this July. As always, mahalo, and best wishes for your visit!
