Concert In The Sky Fireworks

Naturally, one of the celebrations happening all over the 50th US State is Independence Day. If you’re in Kauai on July 4th, you’ll definitely want to catch a fireworks show. Most agree none is better than the Concert In The Sky. Held at Vidinha Stadium in Lihue, it’s a great location and a fireworks display that is raved about.

13th Annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge

For fans of physical exertion in a scenic setting, July is also the time when the Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge comes to Kauai. The World Open Water Swimming Association ranks this one of the top 100 American Open Water Swims. If you’re a serious swimmer, July 30th is your chance to find out why!

Herbal Medicinal Workshop

On the same Saturday as the swim challenge, those of slightly different interests may find fulfillment in the Herbal Medicinal Workshop at Lawai International Center, led by Sean Chun. This is a spectacular chance to encounter the traditional medicine culture of Hawaii.

4th Annual Garden Island Boogie Board Classic

This is “Hawaii summer event” epitomized. Register to join the fun at Prince Kuhio Beach in Koloa!

21st Annual Paniolo Heritage Rodeo

Thanks to Hawaii’s unique brand of cowboy culture, July also boasts a huge rodeo event. There will be music, delicious food, and multiple days of festivities at CJM County Stables.

From Kapa To Quilt

If you like looking at beautiful and historical things in museums, head to Rice Street starting July 5th and check out Kauai Museum’s exhibit on traditional Hawaiian quilts. Practitioners will also be at the museum doing demonstrations and workshops.

Kulaiwi Connection

Live one day as we were meant to live.” At this special event, you will spend the day in a lo’i - a traditional taro farm. To be so immersed in peaceful, pure nature of this totality is a rare experience to be seized by any lover of the outdoors.
