Take a trip back in time to a traditional Kauai sugar plantation at the Grove Farm Homestead Museum. This museum is in the plantations main home which belonged to George N. Wilcox and his nieces who came to the island in 1864. The building is well-preserved with Koa walls and staircases. Your tour consists of 6 buildings as well as a garden and a farm.
Tours can last up to 3 hours and are guided by very knowledgeable docents. Reservations are required and should be made well in advance. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Tours are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Call 1 808 245 3202 for information.
