Hana Things to Do

Things to Do near Hana on Maui

Like many areas on the island, Hana began as a town that was home to sugar cane farming. Once the sugar cane industry waned, Hana turned into a center for cattle ranching. The fertile land that was once the perfect place for farming now exists as a beautiful destination for travelers and a stunning place for residents.

Hana may be just one of the many places that you explore in Hawaii, but there’s plenty to do in the area so it’s certainly a must-see. When you do leave the area, make sure you take the time to visit some of our favorite spots along the Road to Hana, Hamoa Beach and the Seven Sacred Pools. These pools are popularly known as the Seven Sacred Pools, but when you’re headed to the site, look for signs referring drivers to the Oheo Gulch at Kipahulu.
