2023 Events and Festivities

Maui Classic Cruisers

Independence Day is always a fun time on the islands, but there are more than just the usual festivals and fireworks on Maui. Maui Classic Cruisers will host a special showcase of their rides that kids from 1 to 92 will enjoy.

When: July 4th
Where: Front St, Lahaina
More Info: Follow Maui Classic Cruisers on Facebook

Kihei 4th Friday

These are essentially town parties. Kihei Fridays are full of food, music, and fun stuff to do for all ages.

Note, however, that this event is still somewhat up in the air. Maui County announced back in April that Friday Town Parties were temporarily going on hold. We recommended that you contact Maui County OED to stay updated.

When: Friday, July 21st, 6 PM - 9 PM
Where: 1279-1280 S Kihei Rd, Kihei (Azeka Shopping Center)
More Info: Kihei Fridays (call 808 270 7415 for updates)

Lanai Pineapple Festival

Once voted among the top 10 best specialty food festivals by USA Today, the Lanai Pineapple Festival is uniquely Hawaiian and full of flair. As the name suggests, the primary focus is pineapple - of which there will be plenty to eat and celebrate, and rightfully so, given how ruinous other pineapple-eating experiences, the ones freshly grown on Hawaiian soil are. But that’s just the headlining act. The festival also features craft and volunteer booths, cook-off contests, dance performances, kids’ activities, and fireworks.

When: Saturday, July 1st, 10 AM - 9 PM
Where: Lanai Ave, Lanai City (Dole Park)
More Info: Lanai Pineapple Festival

Slack Key Guitar Shows at Napili Kai Beach Resort

Every Wednesday in July, an intimate and beautiful performance will be centered around one of Hawaii’s most distinctive musical instruments. The band is a 5-piece led by the legendary George Kahumoku, Jr. Kahumoku has won multiple Grammy Awards and is considered a true master of the slack key guitar.

When: Wednesdays, July 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th; 6 PM
Where: 5900 Lower Honoapiilani Rd, Lahaina (Napili Kai Beach Resort)
More Info: Slack Key Show

Polynesian Shows at the Shops at Wailea

Every Tuesday in July, the Shops at Wailea will host one of the most accessible and family-friendly cultural festivals you will likely find anywhere on the islands. The show features Hawaii’s iconic dance, the hula, and other important Polynesian traditions across the region.

When: Tuesdays, July 11th, 18th, 25th; 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Where: 3750 Wailea Alanui Dr, Wailea (The Shops at Wailea)
More Info: The Shops at Wailea - Polynesian Show

The major boxes seem to be checked. Savor delicious local food and produce under the fireworks at the Lanai Pineapple Festival. Drool over amazing driving machines as they bask in the Hawaiian sun with Maui Classic Cruisers. Enjoy the music with Polynesian dancing or master slack key guitarists, then party in Kihei on Friday night.

We hope you find this helpful guide to filling out your calendar this July in Maui. As always, mahalo, and best wishes for your visit!
