Kona Coffee Cultural Festival

November is the month when Kona’s world-famous coffee is harvested. This special occasion is celebrated with an annual festival that lasts over a week. Whether you’re a coffee lover or just interested in this iconic Big Island tradition, you won’t want to miss it.

Ikuwa Festival

Ikuwa is the 11th month in the Hawaiian calendar. This naturally corresponds to many traditions, but in 2023, it will celebrated on the Big Island by a free event held at the Imolia Astronomy Center. Canoes, vendors, storytelling, live entertainment/demonstrations, games, and more await.

12th Annual Hawaiian Honey Challenge - People’s Choice Honey Tasting

Another agricultural staple in the Big Island’s repertoire that gets less recognition than coffee is honey. The Big Island has its association of beekeepers, and for a dozen years, the association has hosted a Honey Challenge in search of the island’s best-tasting honey.

43rd Annual Hawaii International Film Festival
