Maui bed and breakfast, upcountry cottages and suites offer a central location in a shady, quiet retreat. Close, yet wonderfully removed from Maui's hotel / resort beachfront crowds, the banyan bed and breakfast simply overflows with peace and Hawaii-ana. Giant banyan, monkeypod and jacaranda trees create a peaceful, shady oasis amidst the fruit trees, flowers and sunny, wide open lawns. Several swings and hammocks hang from the trees offering comfortable private places around our 2 acre property. Our 50' swimming pool and Jacuzzi is for the private use of our guests. A continental breakfast featuring fresh fruit, muffin and juice is served every morning.
The historic plantation property is also known as the "Banyan Tree House" and was originally built in 1927. Our holiday accommodations include the historic plantation house with three large bedrooms/ suites as well as four individual, spacious cottages. Ideal for groups and retreats the 700 sq. ft. yoga and meditation studio is fully equipped with props and audio/ video systems. Our 2.5 acre property has 7 rental units including the 3 bedroom plantation house which has a spacious living room area, huge kitchen, dining room and game lanai. Ginger cottage has recently been designed and renovated to be a comfortable accommodation for guests requiring wheel chair access and for their caregiver. Now named Sue's Cottage it has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 entrances separated by a generous kitchenette. Sue's Cottage is ideal for guests traveling with handicapped individuals.
