Capt Andys Na Pali BBQ Snorkel

Board the Southern Star, the epitome of elegance on Hawaii's ocean, and embark on a sailing adventure with Captain Andy's! You will have an early departure from Port Allen on the West shore of Kauai and as you head towards the Na Pali Coast, you will see views of Ni'ihau, Polihale and the ridges of Koke'e. The early morning departure generally means calm ocean conditions and virtually ensures an encounter with the massive pod of Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins that cruise up the coast daily.

The captain, well-versed in the best routes around Kauai, will normally sail up the entire coast and then sail downwind offshore so you will be sure to get a variety of breathtaking views. As you pass the Na Pali Coast, you will witness spectacular sea cliffs, numerous waterfalls and lava tubes. Witness first hand how Kauai, the oldest of the main Hawaiian islands, is the result of nearly 8 million years of exposure to wind, waves and rain and the resulting intricately carved coastline. In addition to seagoing skills, the crew is knowledgeable in the history and legends of the ancient Hawaiians that once inhabited these verdant valleys and will happily regale you with information and stories.

After a relaxing and beautiful downwind sail, the captain will pull into one of the various remote snorkel spots where the yacht will be anchored. You are more than welcome to snorkel or simply swim in the crystalline waters, or just relax on board and soak up the warm Hawaiian sun. After the snorkel stop, the crew prepares a delicious BBQ lunch in the onboard kitchen, which will be served with beer and wine.

As your day comes to a close, bask in the luxurious surroundings of the Southern Star as the captain sails back to Port Allen. The perfect ending to an unforgettable day!
