Pokai Bay Beach Park

Even when the surf is rumbling on other nearby beaches Pokai is generally calm. A protective break off shore provides a shield which makes the waters especially safe for swimming with children.

This beach is named after the legendary Hawaiian chief, Poka'i. Its coral reef slopes gradually downward making it great for swimming year round. It has a beautiful and stable sandy beach area. There are lifeguards on duty and full amenities including BBQ grills, restrooms, showers, picnic areas and phones.

This spot is also a popular canoe launch. As with every beach in the islands, obey all posted warnings.
