Donkey Beach
That plantation has been closed for some time and new owners have purchased the land. These developers are selling to high-end customers who seem to prefer their beaches clothing-mandatory.
The beach is littered with black rocks but there are some lovely shade trees. There are no facilities or a lifeguard. The swimming here can sometimes be dangerous, so please monitor conditions before entering.
To get to Donkey Beach take Highway 56 north toward Anahola. Park before mile marker #12 and walk about 10 minutes to the beach. This path may is on private property but the owner allows access unless otherwise posted.
