Shipping Policies

Shipping Notices & Policy
All physical packages are shipped the next day after an order is placed (an example is described below), unless otherwise stated on the order page. We ship items on the mornings of Monday - Saturday only. All packages are shipped in accordance with our regular business hours which can be found in the right navigation menu on this page; along with the current time. Please note that Hawaii does NOT observe DST.

If your order is placed between 9 a.m. HST and 3 p.m. HST then your items will be mailed the following morning. All orders placed after 3:00 p.m. HST will be added to the next day's orders. For example, if you order your items at 5 p.m. HST on Monday, your items will be considered part of our Tuesday orders. Thus, your items will be shipped first thing Wednesday morning. We will make every reasonable attempt to expedite Express orders, but this policy applies to Express shipping as well. We will ship items on Saturday mornings (from Friday orders) at our convenience for Priority Mail items; otherwise they'll be mailed on Monday as per our regular policy. Express Mail items are only mailed Monday-Friday before noon. No shipments are made on Sunday.

To summarize this policy, this chart shows the *best guess* shipping arrival times (guidebooks only):

If your order is placed BEFORE 3 p.m. HST on:

Sunday - All items will ship Monday and arrive on Wed-Thur of that week. Express items should arrive Tuesday.
Monday - All items will ship Tuesday and arrive on Thur-Fri of that week. Express items should arrive Wednesday.
Tuesday - All items will ship Wednesday and arrive on Fri-Sat of that week. Express items should arrive Thursday.
Wednesday - All items will ship Thursday and arrive on Sat of that week or Mon of the following week. Express items should arrive Friday.
Thursday - All items will ship Friday and arrive on Mon-Tues of the following week. Express items should arrive Saturday.
Friday - All items will ship in accordance with our Sunday policy. At our convenience we'll ship on Saturday and they should arrive Tue-Wed of the following week. NO Express items can be mailed on Saturday; they'll be mailed Monday before noon.
Saturday - All items will ship in accordance with our Sunday policy. Items should arrive Tue-Wed of the following week. NO Express items can be mailed until Monday; they'll be mailed Monday before noon.

We are not responsible for delays or failure to deliver caused by USPS and no refunds will be issued for delays or failure to deliver on their end. We track all items (excluding maps) and will always attempt to provide you with this tracking number as well.

Occasionally we have to alter our shipping schedule due to holidays and/or unforeseen causes. As noted, our standard policy regarding shipping is to mail our packages via USPS mail the day after orders are received - except when we note otherwise on the sale page. Below are major dates/times that will different from this policy:

January 19-20, 2009
In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday and the 44th Inauguration, no packages will be mailed this Monday or Tuesday.

February 16, 2009
In observance of Washington's Birthday (President's Day), no packages will be mailed this Monday.

May 25, 2009
In observance of Memorial Day, no packages will be mailed this Monday.

July 4, 2009
In observance of Independence Day, no packages will be mailed this day.

September 7, 2009
In observance of Labor Day, no packages will be mailed this Monday.

October 12, 2009
In observance of Columbus Day, no packages will be mailed this Monday.

November 11, 2009
In observance of Veterans Day, no packages will be mailed this day.

November 25-27, 2008
In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, no packages will be mailed during this period.

To receive your packages BEFORE Christmas, we recommend you order any items before December 15th. We cannot guarantee delivery of any package before Christmas after this date. If you'd like to expedite your order, please contact us immediately after placing your order. Overnight shipping in the U.S. is approximately $25.00 via USPS Express Mail.

December 23-26, 2009
In observance of the Christmas Holiday's, no packages will be mailed during this period.

December 29, 2009 - January 1, 2010
In observance of the New Year's Day Holiday, no packages will be mailed during this period.

January 18, 2010
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, no packages will be mailed this Monday.

February 15, 2010
In observance of Washington's Birthday (President's Day), no packages will be mailed this Monday.

May 31, 2010
In observance of Memorial Day, no packages will be mailed this Monday.

July 4, 2010
In observance of Independence Day, no packages will be mailed this day.

In observance of Labor Day, no packages will be mailed this Monday.
