Planning your Hawaii trip

Planning your trip online
Whether you are a fan of the internet or not it is arguably one of the greatest tools available in the world today. Entire companies are built upon it, as was our own originally for over four years, and it has become a great asset for travel planners everywhere.

Online travel companies like Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, Orbitz.com, etc offer travelers the chance to book every aspect of their vacation in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Your flight, rental car, and accommodations can all be booked together to save you even more money. Plus, you can mix and match various combinations of flights and rooms to create the perfect deal for you.

Our favorite online company to book through is Expedia. We've used them for countless trips and every time been pleased with their services. While a rarity to have to call and talk with customer support, even that was a pleasant experience, and we were helped courteously and quickly. Expedia now also offers additional “activity packages” during your checkout, including the option to be greeted with a lei at island airports. While always wise to compare prices, we have found that most of their “activity packages” are reasonably priced in comparison to other companies.

If you're looking for more information on our favorite activities, see our “Top Activities” and "Must See and Do" section on each island.

We will be visiting Hawaii for 3 weeks in August. I am a fanatic when it comes to planning our vacations and I have browsed many, many websites. Your site, is by far, the most informative, most complete, all purpose website I have ever encountered, for any vacation I have ever planned. Nice job.

hello !!! We are planning a trip to Maui & Kaui during the last week of April/1st week of May 2009.We have been to Mauai before but want to see some areas we missed the first trip.We will have 6 days for Maui & 9 days for Kauai. We are not sure which island to see first. Also several sites suggest that Napali Coast boat tours dont begin until mid May from the north shore. Is this correct? any suggestions would be helpful & thanks !!!

Aloha Mike. Well you can do a Na Pali tour most of the year when the sea's are calm, but late Spring and Summer are the best times to go and that's when all the boats leave from the north shore of Kaua`i.

One thing to really keep in mind about Kaua`i is all the great hiking available. Even if you're usually not a fan of the trails, I highly recommend you review some of the trails in Kaua`i. For example, the first half mile of the Kalalau trail is a good uphill climb, but the view at the half-mile mark is incredible - both of Ke`e Beach below and of the Na Pali Coast stretching out ahead of you. Other trails in East Kauai and Koke`e State Park are also fantastic.

Feel free to ask any questions about specific spots or sights on our website via the comments section on each page and we'll be sure to reply ASAP.

Aloha,
John

On the above page you mention "If you're looking for more information on our favorite activities, see our “Top Activities” section on each island."

I visited various sections of your site but could not find the top activities section. Can you please guide me?

Aloha, we're still working on the Activities portion of our site (we're redoing it since moving from our old site), but for now be sure to checkout the "Must See and Do" for each island.

Aloha,
John
