The Perfect Huladay
When people think of Hawaii, recurring images tend to come to mind- hula dancers and grass skirts. Yet there is so much more to this spectacular place than meets the eye. Split into four islands, each with their own history and unique landscapes, Hawaii is one of the most diverse and beautiful islands in the Pacific.
Hawaii holidays would be incomplete without a visit to the stunning Oahu. You may recognize the volcanic peeks and green valleys from the hit-TV series Lost and Jurassic Park. But don't worry, the ominous black smoke and dinosaurs are entirely fictional! Instead, Oahu offers the most eclectic and exciting experience in Hawaii. The island is home to the capital of Honolulu and the nightlife doesn't disappoint. Why not pay a visit to Apartment 3 which is renowned for its unique cocktails and martinis? Or why not hit The Shack on a Wednesday night to experience the busiest night of the week and specialist drinks? The north shore also offers summer sand bar parties where boats and bands pull up and play all afternoon. You certainly cannot get bored here! Aside from bustling parties, Oahu is famous for its rich history. Pearl Harbor, one of the largest naval bases in the USA was bombed by planes from the Imperial Japanese Navy in December, 1941. The harbor is still an active naval base today and is well worth a visit. However, the history of Oahu runs much deeper than this. Oahu used to be a Kingdom ruled by the most ancient Ali`i in all of the Hawaiian Islands. The Royal Mausoleum is the final resting place of the two prominent royal families and can be found in Honolulu.

If the sights and delights of Oahu don't entice you, say aloha to Maui, another breathtaking island to see. Extraordinary coral reefs, rainforests and humpback whales that dominate the waters are but a few defining features of the place. Hawaii restaurants can serve anything from local cuisine to Japanese dishes. In Maui sea-food, chilled-mango soup and pina-colada cheesecake can all be tried and tested! For a real experience of Pacific cuisine, Pacific 'O in Lahaina offers the best calamari around.
Some of Hawaii's brightest musicians are from Maui and can be seen playing a medley of Hawaiian, rock, jazz and 'jawaiian' in most hotels and public places. Alternatively, for a real dose of Hawaii, look out for the annual hula competitions where dancers from all over the Pacific come to show off their kahiko (traditional hula) moves! Since Hawaii weather is characterized by a two- season year, the temperatures in Maui stay uniform with high relative humidity. However, showers are very common in Maui but luckily most are light and brief.
Whether you are partying in Oahu or hula-dancing in Maui, these Hawaiian Islands are the perfect escape for any customer. Just don't forget your flower necklace!
