Aloha Friday everyone! We just wanted to share some of these amazing photos from the USGS at the Hawaii Volcanoes Observatory over on the Big Island. Pele's been a bit more active lately and we want to start updating folks on what's going on and showing off some of the photos of her 'adventures' on the Big Island.
Recently Kilauea celebrated it's 30th anniversary of the start of the eruption at Pu'u O'o, and though Pu'u O'o has changed dramatically over the years, it's still erupting each and every day, adding hundreds of new acres of land to the Big Island. It's one of the only places on earth still getting bigger! Plus where else can you walk on land younger than you are?
Here's the latest from the USGS as of today. Enjoy!
